Track 02 // The Suit
Historical Context & Studio Engineering
Lyrics
[VERSE 01] You call me 'savage' 'cause I fight for grandmas land, I call you 'devil' 'cuz you kill in God's command. You wipe the blood away to keep the linen shirt clean, And crop the bodies out the picture for the TV screen. You acting like a victim standing center on the stage, While you locking up the children in a cage. You smile while your boot is on the bottom of my throat, Then justify the murder with a patriotic quote. You weaponize the gavel and you hide behind the law, But every single contract got a calculated flaw. You tell yourself the story that your doing what is right, But you can't see the devil when he hides in plain sight. You tryna claim the legacy, tryna steal the name, But history gon' write a different chapter and it’s full of shame. [OUTRO] You carved the Ten Commandments on a heavy slab of stone, But built your holy temple on a pile of human bone. You sign the requisition with a heavy fountain pen, And trade a drop of ink against the lives of fifty men. You turning human suffering into bars of solid gold, It doesn't matter who’s dies if the product sold.

[+] DEEP DIVE: LEGALISTIC PLUNDER AND MORAL THEATRICS IN "THE SUIT" CATALOG: TMSL-C01-02
TRACK: THE SUIT
ARTIST: Tareq Zeiad Abulebbeh
CORE TOPICS: LAWFARE // THEATRICAL VICTIMHOOD // THE COMMERCIALIZATION OF DISPOSSESSION
THE ARCHITECTURE OF CONTRACTUAL THEFT
"The Suit" tackles the bureaucratic, legalistic machinery of settler-colonial expansion. The title functions on a deliberate double meaning: the formal attire of diplomats and lawyers laundering structural violence, and the weaponized legal action brought through foreign courtrooms to dispossess indigenous inhabitants. The track interrogates the sanitized paperwork, courtroom decrees, and moral self-deception that legitimate state-sanctioned theft. The central thesis exposes a system where the law is not an instrument of justice, but a ledger used to transform physical violence into legally sanctioned property rights.
THE WEAPONIZED GAVEL AND SANITIZED VIOLENCE
"You weaponize the gavel and you hide behind the law / But every single contract got a calculated flaw"
"You sign the requisition with a heavy fountain pen / And trade a drop of ink against the lives of fifty men"
The verse dismantles the apparatus of "lawfare"—the deployment of legal mechanisms to achieve territorial conquests:
- THE BUREAUCRATIC EVICTION: Land seizures in neighborhoods like Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan depend on civil courts, discriminatory statute interpretations, and selectively recognized deeds manipulated to favor state-backed trusts. The gavel operates alongside the bulldozer: courts rubber-stamp eviction orders, turning violent expulsion into administrative routine.
- THE ECONOMY OF INK: Contrasting a "fountain pen" with the lives of "fifty men" exposes the cold detachment of administrative violence. Dispossession is orchestrated by magistrates, civil administrators, and state officials sitting in climate-controlled chambers, trading signatures for human catastrophe without ever touching a rifle.
THEATRICS, MEDIA OPTICS, AND RELIGIOUS INVERSION
"You acting like a victim standing center on the stage / While you locking up the children in a cage"
"You carved the Ten Commandments on a heavy slab of stone / But built your holy temple on a pile of human bone"
The track pivots from the legal domain to the ideological and narrative strategies used to manage global perception:
- INVERTED VICTIMHOOD: The verse dissects the media strategy where armed forces, equipped with modern air superiority and mechanized armor, occupy center stage as aggrieved parties while managing an imprisoned civilian populace. The media framing is deliberate: "crop the bodies out the picture for the TV screen" to keep the narrative linen clean.
- THEOLOGICAL EXPLOITATION: Invoking the Decalogue underscores spiritual contradiction. Religious texts and divine mandates are co-opted to justify kinetic dispossession, building modern settlements over ancestral grounds while violating the moral imperatives etched on the stones cited for authority.
CAPITAL AND THE LEDGER OF HUMAN LOSS
"You turning human suffering into bars of solid gold / It doesn't matter who’s dies if the product sold"
The closing couplet lays bare the economic incentives driving the enterprise. Whether through speculative real estate development, military testing grounds for exportable defense tech, or global contracts, catastrophe is continuously converted into profit and sovereign capital.
"The Suit" demonstrates that the ultimate weapon of dispossession is not merely high explosives, but the calculated contract. Yet, by exposing the mechanism, the track affirms that while land can be stolen on paper, the true title deed remains held by the soil itself.
